“ If you are looking for a home cooked meal like Grandma used to make, this is the place to go. It is overflowing with comfort food. They make everything from scratch. Note: CASH ONLY. This was the first visit for my husband and I. We met a couple that are regulars and talked us into joining them. In honor of my mother, I ordered the Friday night special of Salmon Cakes, pea gravy, fried potatoes and bread. Also got a piece of rhubarb pie. All things she made on a regular basis. The fried potatoes and fresh rye bread were excellent! They slice the bread for you in the line. The Salmon was okay. It had more breading than expected and didn't really taste like salmon. The rhubarb pie was just okay as well. My husband got the beef tips which he described as very tender. He enjoyed that, the fried okra and coconut cream pie . The friendly server kept our drinks filled and our table cleared. The restaurant decor is a little outdated and worn. However, everything was clean. We were very happy with the prices! Seemed most entrees were under $10. However, it is unclear as you go through the line what the cost of sides, desserts and drinks are. We will go back and join our friends again. ”
“ Overall a decent place. Cleanliness average, the place is definitely showing its age and could use some upgrade. For instance flooring, seat covers, wallpapers are old and can be mistaken for being dirty. Food is average. I avoid any pasta dishes because noodles are always over cooked. Above average dishes are their turkey with dressing and roast beef. Sometimes they'll serve when meat and dressing have been sitting out a while so make sure to ask for fresh servings. Desserts are consistently good. Probably the upside to this establishment. Maybe a harsh review yet I rate a 4 of 5 stars because cafeteria style restaurants are convenient especially for the senior community and for that I am grateful this one is still around. ”
“ This is a basic, clean cafeteria offering a variety of entrees, sides and desserts. The simple food attracts a lot of senior citizens. The daily specials priced at about $10.00 are a good value for entree and a couple of sides; beverage and dessert is additional. Ala carte can get a bit pricey for someone on a fixed income; plan on spending $15.00 for entree and 2 sides, and more if you add beverage and dessert. This business is cash only! I had the beef noodle casserole which was quite bland, coleslaw was very good. My friend really liked the fried cod with a small salad and green beans. I sampled the cod and will order that next time. We both thoroughly enjoyed pie for dessert. Flaky crust...baked custard and mile high lemon meringue. There was plenty of seating and we were able to linger quite awhile to visit with each other. ”
“ My family (immediate and extended) utilized the party room tonight at Miss Sheri's for our pre-Christmas meal. The planning of the event with event planner was easy and completely stress free. Service was friendly and.courteous. Food delicious and menu choices accommodating. Great atmosphere. We closed the door and had a fun-filled time together. It was memorable. Overall WOW customer service. We are already planning for next Christmas! ”
“ Good home cooking selections. The staff was very helpful with offering to carry trays and refill drinks. The servers on the line were helpful with making selections for dinner. Cafeterias have such a wonderful selection of salads and pies for dessert. It is worth a visit for just that! EDIT: Returned a few more times and really enjoyed the home cooking and helpfulness of the staff. We will continue to return. Cash only. ”
“ Great food that's fresh and delicious. Nice selection of entrees, salads, vegetables and the desserts are scrumptious. Pies and cakes!! ”
“ I've eaten here several times and the food I select from their options are always tasty and filling. Great menu options daily. They treat us like family. Try it, I don't think you'll be disappointed. ”
“ Simple the best! This is what an old style restaurant was like before fast food drive through! Great staff, very friendly. ”
“ I swear I almost got carded on my way in. Luckily, even though I'm only 47, I must have passed for a 65 year old. I mean there wasn't anyone under 65 there. That's not a judgement that's just an interesting fact. There was a lot of food to choose from and I opted for turkey and stuffing. So did my wife. We both got mashed potatoes, I got a side salad and my wife got a piece of chocolate pie for dessert. The amount of food is staggering. First the turkey is real turkey, sliced right off the bird. And the man carving didn't stop piling stuff on. I think they do on purpose so there's enough for two people per plate. The stuffing was a good amount as well. The salad and potatoes were in a small sized bowl. Turkey gravy on the bird and the 'tatoes for me. Ok, let's start small. The salad was a salad. The turkey gravy was really, really good. I was very impressed. Not a clump to be seen, no gross skin. The pie wasn't great. The filling itself was nice but the crust was a little sad. I'm sure every grandmother that goes through that place and gets the pie cringes at the crust. The mashed potatoes were surprisingly good. They weren't a gloppy mess and they were not dry like you'd expect mashed potatoes under a warming light in a warming tray to be. The stuffing was the one thing, other than the pie crust, that didn't wow me. It was a little soggy, a little dry on the sides, not something you get at thanksgiving from Aunt Ginette from Minnesota. The turkey itself, also, was very good. Not dry, not cottony, nice and moist and a heaping helping of it. Very recommended and I wouldn't hesitate to get it again. I think that about sums it up. Oh, and in the middle of a pandemic not a sinGLE PERSON WAS WEARING A MASK. Not the employees, not the patrons, no one. It was a little off-putting but we sat way in the back in a room that had no one else in it. I say give it a try, chances are you'll be pleasantly surprised. ”
“ I'm giving Miss Sherri's 5 stars because I think they are doing exactly what a cafeteria wants to do. They offer a variety of food for affordable prices with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. In addition, they are doing a great job with COVID prevention! I felt very safe eating there. I can't wait to go back! By the way....CASH ONLY! Thank you Miss Sherri's for the wonderful meal! ”
